Rock + Clay Wines
The Vineyard
Namesake Vineyard
Meadowlark Lane, Carneros Region
Located at the western edge of the Carneros Region, where cooling winds from the Pacific Ocean and San Pablo Bay moderate temperatures throughout the growing season — ideal for producing vibrant, expressive Chardonnay.
The vineyard sits on Meadowlark Lane, and its name pays tribute to the meadowlarks that return each spring.
Viticulture
30+ Years of Roots
Originally planted over 30 years ago with Martini Clone 4, the vineyard now features a mixture of the original vines alongside other Chardonnay clones selected for their complexity and site expression.
The soil is Haire clay loam: heavy and mineral-rich, interlaced with seams of streambed rocks — the geological foundation that gives our Namesake Vineyard Chardonnay its distinctive character.
“Birds are beautiful and inspiring elements of the natural world that are ever-present in our vineyard.”
— Kent Iverson & Carol Collier
