OWNERS
Kent Iverson & Carol Collier
Kent Iverson and Carol Collier are the owners of Rock and Clay Wines. Carol developed her love of wine while living in Germany across the street from a traditional Wein Stubbe. Her wine journey has included owning a vineyard, a wine shop and a wine importation company. Kent discovered wine as a teenager which ultimately led him to an enology degree from UC Davis and decades of winemaking and vineyard planting. Wine ultimately led Kent to Carol when one fateful day he attended a wine tasting at her wine shop in Seattle.
Since then, Kent and Carol have shared many wine adventures as travelers and “garagiste” wine producers. Ten years ago, we decided it was time to go professional — amateur winemaking was too competitive. We select grape sources and design the production plans to create Sonoma interpretations of unique varietals.
WINEMAKER
Patrick Saboe
Patrick Saboe’s wine journey began with restaurant work in Charleston, SC, before pursuing formal training at UC Davis. He has worked at Hanna Winery and Keller Estate, and since 2012 has served as Director of Winemaking at The Wine Foundry in Napa.

WILDLIFE ARTIST
Roger Hall
Roger Hall is a renowned wildlife illustrator based in Oakland, California, with over 25 years of experience creating artwork for National Geographic, The Nature Conservancy, and the World Wildlife Fund. His portfolio spans more than 3,000 images of 1,500+ species. Roger’s beautiful bird illustrations appear on every bottle of Rock & Clay wine.
